Update — read Sept. 28, 2026, 1:30 a.m. ET
  • Fifteen days of daily copies from four activewear stores, Sept. 14 to Sept. 28 (no copies Sept. 19–21).
  • Three stores barely moved. Girlfriend Collective changed zero prices. Baleaf cut nothing. POPFLEX made one round of cuts, on Sept. 15.
  • Senita moved on seven of its eleven next-day reads, and 73 items that dropped off sale came back at the same price.

Quick answer — It depends on the store, and the pattern splits cleanly in two. At Girlfriend Collective, Baleaf and POPFLEX, a sale price we saw on Sept. 14 was, in almost every case, still the same price on Sept. 28, so you can take a few days to decide. At Senita the sale rotates: prices changed on most days, the number of discounted items swung between 257 and 397, and when a 30% price disappeared it often came back about a week later at the same 30%.

How did we measure how long a sale lasts?

Every morning at 1:30 a.m. ET we copy the full public product feed of four stores that sell direct: Girlfriend Collective, Senita Athletics, POPFLEX and Baleaf. Not a sale page, the whole catalogue, with every size and colour, its price and its crossed-out price. A product counts as "on sale" when at least one of its variants is priced below its own crossed-out price.

That gives twelve copies between Sept. 14 and Sept. 28. There is a gap: we have no copies for Sept. 19, 20 or 21, so anything that changed and changed back inside those three days is invisible here.

"Days with a price change" counts the next-day comparisons in which at least one variant's price moved. Eleven comparisons for twelve copies.

Which stores keep the same sale price for weeks?

Girlfriend Collective is the extreme case. Across 2,558 size-and-colour listings, not one price moved in fifteen days. The 26 products in its 70% group were the same 26 products, at the same $23.40 to $32.40, on every read. All 26 are final sale, which may be part of why they sit. The detail is on our Girlfriend Collective page.

Baleaf held its 40 discounted products for the whole run and did not deepen a single one. The only price movement went the other way: between Sept. 18 and Sept. 22 it raised the sale price on four winter items by $5 to $10, a thermal pant from $55 to $65, while keeping them flagged as on sale. Twenty-two products also left the catalogue. Full list on our Baleaf sale page.

POPFLEX made one move that mattered. On Sept. 15 it cut prices on 1,144 variants at once, and its sale count went from 120 products to 138. After that, one legging went back to full price on Sept. 24 and nothing else changed. Of the 137 products on sale now, 118 had been on sale on every single read. See the POPFLEX sale page for sizes.

Which store changes its sale almost every day?

Senita. Here is its discounted-product count on each read, with the median discount on the items that were cut:

Read (1:30 a.m. ET)Products on saleMedian discount
Sept. 1427343%
Sept. 1537038%
Sept. 1639733%
Sept. 1730143%
Sept. 1836335%
Sept. 2235731%
Sept. 2335031%
Sept. 2428243%
Sept. 25–2825744%

Read the two columns together. When the count jumps, the median discount drops, because the extra items are a 30% layer added on top of a fixed clearance set. When the 30% layer is pulled, what remains is the deeper, mostly final-sale clearance. On Sept. 16 alone, 744 variant prices went up and 1,053 went down on the same morning. Since Sept. 25 the store has been still for four days, which is the longest quiet stretch in our copies.

If a sale price disappears, does it come back?

At Senita, often, and at the same price. We followed every product that was on sale on one read and at full price on the next. There were 364 of them. Seventy-five went back on sale later in the fifteen days, and 73 of those 75 came back at exactly the price they had before.

A typical one: an Essential Short Seamless Tank in cocoa was $21.00 against $30.00 on Sept. 16, $30.00 on Sept. 17 and 18, $21.00 again on Sept. 22 and 23, then $30.00 from Sept. 24. Same shape for a SoftForm quarter zip, $37.80 and $54.00 swapping back and forth. So a Senita item you missed is not necessarily gone for good, but the return is not guaranteed either: 289 of the 364 had not come back by Sept. 28.

None of the other three stores gave us enough on-and-off cases to say anything. They simply did not switch prices.

Do Amazon activewear prices change more often?

For the listings we track, no. Amazon prices below come from camelcamelcamel price-history records read Sept. 28 between 1:25 and 1:35 a.m. ET, and every one is a third-party seller, not Amazon itself.

ListingPrice nowPrice last changedAll-time lowSold by
SATINA high-waist one-size legging (B083C58G34)$14.99Sept. 26$12.32 (Jan. 8)Amazon, 3rd party
Baleaf high-waist legging with pockets (B0919BQ8LR)$19.99Sept. 21$14.99 (Mar. 2)Amazon, 3rd party
Bubblelime high-waist bootcut, 29" (B07S62Z7YQ)$25.99June 3$20.78 (June 2025)Amazon, 3rd party

The Bubblelime bootcut has sat at $25.99 on Amazon since June 3. At its own store, the comparable 29"–37" black bootcut is $31.98 to $38.98 depending on length as of Sept. 28, so Amazon is the cheaper place for that pair right now. We also looked at an Ewedoos sports bra (B09YRJK5MX), but its record had not updated in eleven days, so it is left out. Our Amazon sports bra price history covers more listings. Target and Walmart were not checked this run.

So should you buy now or wait?

StorePatternWhat to do
Girlfriend CollectiveFixed clearance, final saleNo rush. Measure first, because you cannot return it.
BaleafFixed, occasionally raisedWaiting has not helped; the only moves were up.
POPFLEXOne cut wave, then stillSizes run out before prices drop. Buy if your size is there.
SenitaRotating 30% layerIf it is at 30% and returnable, buy. If you missed it, check again in a week.

The broader point: a crossed-out price that has not moved in two weeks is a clearance, not an event, and it will usually still be there tomorrow. Four quick checks tell you whether a crossed-out number is honest, and our buy-price table sets a target price per store. Returns differ a lot by store too; the final-sale rules guide compares eight. Senita's sports bras have their own page.

TL;DR — From Sept. 14 to 28, Girlfriend Collective changed no prices, Baleaf cut none (and raised four), and POPFLEX cut once on Sept. 15. Senita changed prices on seven of eleven days; 73 items that left its sale came back at the same price. Amazon prices on three tracked leggings had not moved for a week or more.
