Who has played SNL before, and who is new?
We checked each name against TVmaze's Saturday Night Live episode list on Oct. 26 at 1:30 a.m. ET, where episode titles pair the host with the musical guest. Its dates match the ones NBC Insider gives for each act's first appearance.
The Strokes have the longest record. TVmaze lists four earlier episodes with them as musical guest, on Jan. 19, 2002 (host Jack Black), Jan. 21, 2006 (Peter Sarsgaard), March 5, 2011 (Miley Cyrus) and Oct. 31, 2020 (John Mulaney). With Nov. 7 that makes five, the same count NBC gives. Mulaney, who hosted the 2020 show, is also the host on Nov. 14.
Phoebe Bridgers appears once before in TVmaze's list, on Feb. 6, 2021 with host Dan Levy. NBC calls Nov. 14 her second solo turn and notes that she also performed in Season 49 as part of boygenius, which is a separate billing from her solo name. Rosalía is listed on March 12, 2022 (host Zoë Kravitz), and Abrams on Dec. 14, 2024 (host Chris Rock). NBC adds that Rosalía first appeared on the SNL stage on Feb. 20, 2021, singing with Bad Bunny.
Turnstile played SNL for the first time on Oct. 3, NBC says. KATSEYE has no earlier episode under that name in TVmaze's list.
When will the December musical guests be announced?
NBC hasn't said. NBC's musical guest list was last updated Thursday, Oct. 22, and already included the Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 pairings. This page will add the December names after NBC and a second source both show them.
