Is SNL New Tonight? New Episode or Rerun, and When the Next New SNL Airs
Yes. The SNL on Saturday, Oct. 3 is a new episode, with Dakota Johnson hosting and Turnstile as musical guest. Oct. 10 is new too. Then the show sits out two Saturdays in a row: Oct. 17 and Oct. 24 are both reruns, and new episodes pick up again on Oct. 31.

How we fill it in: a Saturday is marked "New" when NBC's schedule, as The Futon Critic publishes it, gives the night an episode number and the TVmaze episode list carries the same date. It's marked "Rerun" when the schedule tags the 11:30 p.m. slot as a repeat and TVmaze has no episode that night. Dec. 26 sits past the end of TVmaze's list, so that row rests on the NBC schedule alone and says "listed."
When is the next new episode of SNL?

If you're reading this during the late-October gap, the answer is Oct. 31. That one is the Halloween episode, with first-time host Inde Navarrette and musical guest Gracie Abrams. November follows the same rhythm: new on Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, then repeats on Nov. 21 and on Nov. 28, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. December has three new shows in a row, with Dec. 19 the last one on the schedule this year.
Which episode is the rerun on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24?
NBC hasn't listed which episodes will repeat. Both Saturdays show up on the schedule as "Repeat TBA," and the same placeholder sits on Nov. 21, Nov. 28 and Dec. 26. The placeholder gives no hint of which earlier episode fills the slot, so that column stays blank on names here.
One thing that trips people up in the listings: on some new-episode nights NBC also runs an older "vintage" SNL at 10 p.m. ET, ahead of the live show. The schedule has that 10 p.m. repeat on Dec. 5, 12 and 19. Seeing a rerun at 10 doesn't mean the 11:30 show is one.
What time is SNL on Saturday, Oct. 3?
11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. New episodes go out live in every time zone at the same moment, which works out to 10:30 p.m. Central, 9:30 p.m. Mountain and 8:30 p.m. Pacific, per NBC. The broadcast is scheduled to end around 1 a.m. ET, and the episode lands on Peacock the next day.
