Who Is Hosting SNL Tonight? This Week's Host, Musical Guest and Next Hosts
The next SNL host is Dakota Johnson, on Saturday, Oct. 3, with musical guest Turnstile. It's a new episode, the second of Season 52, and it goes out live at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock.
This is Johnson's third time hosting. NBC's announcement puts her earlier turns on Feb. 28, 2015, in Season 40, and Jan. 27, 2024, in Season 49. The network is also pointing to her upcoming thriller, Verity, and to a bit of show history: her mother, Melanie Griffith, hosted in 1988.
Who is the musical guest on SNL this week?
Turnstile. The Baltimore rock band has never played the show before, so Oct. 3 is its debut. NBC says the group moved a tour date in Oklahoma City to the following Monday to make the trip to New York.

Who is hosting SNL next week, and after that?
Shane Gillis hosts on Oct. 10 with Rosalía as musical guest. It's his third time too. Then the show takes two Saturdays off: NBC's schedule lists reruns for Oct. 17 and Oct. 24, and it doesn't say yet which episodes will be repeated.
New shows come back on Halloween night with Inde Navarrette, a first-time host, and Gracie Abrams, who is on for the second time. Two more new episodes are on the schedule for Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, with nobody named so far.

Yes, it's live everywhere at once. NBC airs the show coast to coast at the same moment, so the West Coast sees it in the evening and not on a three-hour delay. Peacock carries the live broadcast as well, and the full episode is posted there the next day.
