Leggings for Tall Women: What a 31- to 37-Inch Inseam Costs at 6 Stores (Checked Sept. 14)
- Senita, PopFlex and Girlfriend charge nothing extra for their longest length. A 31-inch pair costs the same as their shortest.
- Bubblelime does add a little: across its styles, the median price is $32.98 at 29 inches, $34.98 at 35 and $36.98 at 37.
- The cheapest tall legging we found at a brand store is Senita's Vinyasa in Supernova, 31 inches for $25.00, all six sizes in stock.
- On Amazon, the Weintee 32-inch cotton legging is at its all-time low of $19.99.
Quick answer — If you need a 31-inch legging, buy it from a store that prices every length the same; on Sept. 14 the best deal is the $25.00 Senita Vinyasa (Supernova). If you need 33 inches or more, Bubblelime is one of the few stores that cuts it, at about $2 to $4 over its short lengths. On Amazon, a 32-inch Weintee at $19.99 is the lowest tall price we saw.
At 5'10" you learn to scroll past the photo and straight to the inseam. Plenty of brands stop at 28 inches; Baleaf's own store did this morning. The ones that go longer don't all charge the same for the extra fabric.
Do tall leggings cost more than regular lengths?
At three of the five brand stores we read, no. Each store lists every length of a style at one price, so the tall size is the same deal as the petite.

Very few, and most of them are down to one size. At Bubblelime, just 1 of its 502 in-stock 37-inch listings is marked down.

One honest comparison: Bubblelime's 31-inch straight leg on bubblelime.com is $31.98 in black. The Amazon listing for a 31-inch Bubblelime straight leg last read $27.99, about $4 less, though that reading is from June and the two may not be the identical cut.
What inseam do you need if you're tall?
For a straight legging that stops at the ankle, 29 inches suits roughly 5'8" to 5'11", and 31 inches suits 6'0" and up. Bootcuts and flares need about two more inches, since that hem is meant to sit over the shoe.

Three mistakes tall shoppers make on sale leggings
Buying a 28-inch "full length" and hoping. At 5'10" that hem usually stops an inch or two above the ankle bone. The discount stops feeling like one the first time you tug it down.
Assuming the tall size is the same deal. At Bubblelime, a markdown on the 29-inch navy bootcut ($16.00) does not extend to the 31-inch, which is $32.98. Check the price after you pick the length.

Is a 36-inch legging too long?
For a straight legging, usually, unless you are well over 6 feet or want the fabric to bunch at the ankle. Check the listing's height chart before ordering.
Does length affect sizing?
No. Length and waist are chosen separately at every store here, so keep your usual size.
