When did Shane Gillis first host SNL?
Feb. 24, 2024, in Season 49. NBC announced him that month alongside 21 Savage, and its preview noted that both the host and the musical guest were appearing on the show for the first time.
He came back a little over a year later, on March 1, 2025, in Season 50. NBC's recap of that night lists Tate McRae as musical guest and says it was her second time in the slot.
When is Shane Gillis on SNL next?
Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. The episode is live at 11:30 p.m. ET, which is 8:30 p.m. PT, on NBC and Peacock, and NBC says it streams on Peacock the next day. It's the third new show of Season 52, after Jalen Brunson on Sept. 26 and Dakota Johnson on Oct. 3.
