The comedian Josh Gondelman and the political commentator Adam Mockler are the guests on Have I Got News for You on Saturday, Oct. 17. The new episode, the fifth of the season, airs at 9 p.m. ET on CNN. The previous guests, on Saturday, Oct. 10, were the comedians Rosebud Baker and Larry Wilmore.

CNN named the Oct. 17 pair in a press release dated Friday, Oct. 16, and TVmaze's episode list carries the same two names. CNN's release describes Gondelman as an Emmy Award-winning comedian, writer and producer, and Mockler as a political commentator who hosts a show on YouTube.

Who was on Have I Got News for You on Oct. 10?

Rosebud Baker and Larry Wilmore. CNN's release describes both as comedians, and the CNN listings carried by The Futon Critic show the same two names for the Oct. 10 episode. They joined the regular trio: host Roy Wood Jr. and team captains Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black, who all returned for this fifth season, according to CNN's renewal announcement and LateNighter's report on it.

The week before, Oct. 3, the guests were Dave Foley, the actor and writer from The Kids in the Hall, and Ashley Allison, a political strategist and publisher. The Sept. 19 episode had Gov. Abigail Spanberger of Virginia and the journalist Kara Swisher. The season opened on Sept. 12 with Jon Lovett and Julia Ioffe. Each pairing comes from CNN's weekly release or, for the premiere, LateNighter's report, and matches the listings.

The Oct. 24 and Oct. 31 rows appear in both the CNN listings and TVmaze's episode list. The three November rows are in the CNN listings only, so read them as the network's plan. The Sept. 26 gap is a date neither list carries, and CNN gave no reason for it that we could find, so we don't offer one.

How many episodes are in this season?

Ten. CNN's weekly releases call it a ten-episode season, and the listings number the episodes from 501 on Sept. 12 to 510 on Nov. 21. Nov. 21 is the last numbered date on the schedule; CNN hasn't called it a finale in anything we found as of Saturday, Oct. 17.

What time is Have I Got News for You on CNN?

Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET. CNN's renewal release gave the time as 9 p.m. ET/PT, and every CNN listing this season has read 9:00 p.m. TVmaze gives the show a one-hour slot.

For streaming, CNN's releases say each episode streams live on CNN.com and the CNN apps for pay TV subscribers, then goes on demand the next day for CNN All Access subscribers and on HBO Max.
